Michael Shickich was President of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association (WTLA) in 2003 and 2004, and currently serves as a member of the board. The WTLA is a statewide legal organization dedicated to the protection of health and safety of Wyoming families, enhancement of consumer protections and improvement of the quality of legal representation. The WTLA also provides education for citizens through its "People's Law School" programs. Michael has conducted the People's Law School program at Casper College on a yearly basis since 2002. Additionally, has directed essential continuing legal education (CLE) for members of the WTLA. He was instrumental as co-chairman of the WTLA's Ski CLE in 2007 and chairman of the Ski CLE in 2008-2009.

College: Michael Shickich is a 2009 graduate of Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. The Trial Lawyers College is a three week intensive course designed to enhance an attorney's trial skills. The Trial Lawyers College was founded by preeminent attorney, Gerry Spence, to assist trial lawyers. Acceptance into the program is entirely selective and lawyers are chosen strictly by their litigation skills.
