Have you ever wondered how our legal system works?

The People’s Law School is sponsored by the Injury Law Firm ® and the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association (WTLA) and is open to anyone interested in learning about how the judicial system operates. All speakers donate their time, and the WTLA covers the cost of providing the course materials.

Legal topics are addressed by local police officers, judges, and attorneys in their areas of practice. People’s Law School students will hear from judges, practicing attorneys and police officers on the following topics:

  • History and Structure of the Court System
  • Laws of Arrest/Criminal Defense/Prosecution
  • Domestic Relations/Family Law
  • Bankruptcy
  • Estate Planning
  • Personal Injury / Insurance

“Dean” R. Michael Shickich himself will teach the class on personal injury litigation.

The next session of the People’s Law School will be held at the Casper College campus on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 PM starting February 3, 2016 for six consecutive weeks, concluding on March 9, 2016.
